Our maps are carefully printed, packaged, and delivered directly to your doorstep. Our paper prints will arrive in a sturdy cardboard tube; be sure to keep it and reuse the tube for shipping if you decide to return your map for any reason. Our canvas prints will arrive in a padded cardboard box to ensure your map arrives in pristine condition.
It will take 7-10 days for your print to arrive. Holiday can hold up the process, so be sure to plan ahead if ordering around the holidays.
We don’t offer framing, but we strongly recommend it in order to protect your map from light, dust, and sticky little fingers. Our prints are available in four standard sizes, so finding a suitable frame is a snap. Check with your local art store, Ebay, or Etsy.
If you purchased a paper map, we recommend getting it framed, of course. A beautiful wood frame would complete the look of your vintage map and the glass will help protect it. The other option we like is using magnets because they don’t put holes in or destroy your new investment. We’d stay away from pins or the wall tack stuff because they will ruin your map and walls with holes and stains. If you purchased a canvas map, your print will arrive ready to hang.

We enjoy bringing these maps back to life, and we wanted to acknowledge the companies that were once thriving map making businesses. Some of our maps also feature vintage advertising from the period, which takes you back to the days when these maps were distributed to local businesses.
Our maps are carefully-restored reproductions of original, vintage hand-drawn maps. The originals have been carefully preserved and reside in the Vintage Routes archives.
If we have it, it’ll be up for sale as soon as we can restore it and print it. The rest, well they are probably in a barn somewhere waiting to be discovered and cared for by the VR team. There will always be more to come.
Our maps are printed on museum-quality paper, a heavy stock measuring 10.3 mil with an ISO brightness of 104%. Our paper is moisture-proof to protect your print from mold build-up or an accidental spill. Our quality inks ensure your print will not fade over time, but will remain bright and vibrant for years to come.
Heck yeah! We are always on the lookout for vintage maps and would love to take a look at your treasure. Send us an email at orders@vintageroutes.com and include a picture or scan.
